How Firebreak Spray Systems Work
All Firebreak systems use Phos-Chek long term fire retardant, the powerful product used by the U.S. Forest Service, to safeguard your home. This non-toxic retardant is easily applied using fully automated or manual self-contained spray systems. Once applied, Phos-Chek will protect your home and property long before a wildfire begins.

How does Phos-Chek work?
Phos-Chek long-term fire retardant is a phosphate based liquid to be applied as a spray onto brush, trees, grasses, wood and other cellulose materials. When heated by fire, Phos-Chek reacts with the cellulose material creating a water vapor and surface char, effectively stopping the advance of flame. The uses for Phos-Chek long-term retardant are both PRE-EMPTIVE and PREVENTATIVE. You can even spray Phos-Chek at the beginning of the wildfire season and it will remain effective until it rains, washed off or disturbed. For more information, visit the Phos-Chek website.
